SSH
SSH is used both locally on the HP SIM central management server and remotely to manage
systems for various tools. Normally, SSH servers listen on TCP port 22. If, for some reason, this
must be changed, the SSH port that HP SIM uses is configurable.
Best practices
Security of the systems can be enhanced by changing the default settings to the recommended
Security Policy Baselines using the Microsoft Security Compliance Manager.

To change the default settings:
1. Apply the ”Member Server Security Compliance” Baseline Policies for ”Windows Server
2008R2Sp1” to the system.
2. Open the firewall ports as mentioned in Table 3.
3. Install the prerequisites for installing the Insight Management DVD.
4. Install the Insight Management DVD.
