Applying updates to SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Service Pack 1
SQL Server uses an Incremental Servicing Model (ISM). The model is described in

. Issues that have broad impact, like security, and are

tested are packaged into General Distribution Releases and distributed through Microsoft Update,
Wind

Other hotfixes are released periodically as cumulative updates. These updates must be requested,

Install Insight Software components on the cluster
Insight Software 6.1 Update 1 is the first release of Insight Software to support Windows 2008 R2
Failover Clustering.
By following the previous instructions, you have a two

node failover clus

Transaction Coordinator and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Service SP1 installed as cluster
applications. Resources to create a cluster application for Insight software 6.1 U1 have been
provisioned. Both cluster nodes
are running.
You must complete
configuration steps before starting the installation of Insight Software.
