2008 R2 Cluster in the same domain
This appendix provide s a n overview of the steps to migra te a n Insight Softwa re 6 .3 Windows 2008
R2 C luster or a 6.3 Standalone Server, called the Source system to a new Windows 2008 R2
cluster, called the Target system. It contains references to documents with deta iled migration steps.

If migra ting to a W indows cluster, the Ta rget cluster nodes must be running Windows Server 2008 R2
opera ting system.
Note:
The Data Migration Tool does not support workgroup to domain migrations
in 6.3.
Note:
Insight Software 6.3 does not support Windows Server 2003 MSCS
clustering.
Note:
If the migration is performed from an Insight Software 6.3 Standalone
Server, where Federated CMS is enabled by default; to Insight Software
6.3 W indows 2008 R2 Cluster, where Federated CMS is disabled and
prohibited, contact HP Support for assistance with the migration. Use the
Engineering Advisory number PI 45268 when contacting the HP Support
for this situation.
The following table lists the white papers you will need to migrate an Insight Software 2008 Cluster or
Standalone to a 2008 cluster.
