Federa ted CMS fea ture is not supported with Insight Softwa re 6 .3 . Follow these steps to disable the
Fed erated CMS feature:
1. Go to HPIO.properties file in <Insight Orchestration install path>\conf fold er.
For testing in the la b, the insta ll pa th wa s V:\Program Files\HP\Insight
Orchestration\conf.
2. Set the value of federated.io to false.
Installation complete
The cluster installation of HP Insight Software is now complete and validated. You may continue to
perform other configuration steps as needed.
User Account Control (UAC) and administrator accounts
Depending on your configurations of the UAC W indows feature and your administrator accounts
other than the SQL/ IS Administrator account, you may need to use the Run as Administrator right-click
option: to access the Insight Software files on the shared disk, c2_insight in this white paper; to
execute Systems Insight Manager commands via the Command Prompt; or for other similar uses.
In testing for this white paper UAC was enabled in its default configuration. H P fo und it necessary to
use “ Run a s Administrator with all accounts other than the SQL/ IS administrator account to access
files on the Insi ght Software shared di sk and to run Systems Insight Manager commands.
Configuring the cluster for operations
To i mp lement the Insig ht Software high availability configuration described in Fi g ure 1, with Systems
Insight Manager and Microsoft SQ L Server 2008 running on different nod es, H P r ecommends you use
the cluster resource ownership arrangement shown in Figure 12: Recommended cluster configuration.
Use Failover Cluster Manager to move the Resource Groups as needed. If a node were to fail, its
resources would failover to the other node.
