Creating resources for Insight Control components
Depending upon which Insight Control components were insta lled, crea te the required cluster
resources, as described in the following sections.
Cr ea t ing the generic service resource: HP Insight Control server migration
Application Service
• Use the New Resource Wizard to create a generic service:
o Select the HP Insight Control server migration Application Service service.
o Th e Confirmation screen shows Ser v ice: HP Insight Control server
migration Application Ser v ice (h p SM Psvc)
• Add the following dependencies to the new resource’s properties: HP SIM Di sk and HP SIM
Network Name.
Cr ea t ing the generic service resource: HP Insight Control server migration Web
Ser v ice
• Use the New Resource Wizard to create a generic service:
o Select the HP Insight Control server migration Web Ser v ice service.
o Th e Confirmation screen shows Ser v ice: HP Insight Control server
migration Web Service (hpw ebSMPsvc)
• Add the following dependencies to the new resource’s properties: HP SIM Di sk and HP SIM
Netw ork Na me.
Cr ea t ing the generic service resource: HP Insight Control virtual machine
management
• Use the New Resource Wizard to create a generic service:
o Select the HP Insight Control virtual machine management service.
o Th e Confirmation screen shows Ser v ice: HP Insight Control virtual
machine management (hpvmmsvc)
• Add the following dependencies to the new resource’s properties: HP SIM Disk and HP
Sy stems Insight Manager.
Creating resources for HP Insight Dynamics components
If HP Insight Dyna mics was insta lled, create the cluster resources described in the following sections.
Cr ea t ing the generic service resource: HP Application Discovery
• Use the New Resource Wizard to create a generic service:
o Select the HP Application Discov er y service.
o Th e Confirmation screen shows Service: HP Application Discovery (AppDisc)
• Add the following dependencies to the new resource’s properties: HP SIM Di sk and HP SIM
Network Name.
Cr ea t ing the generic service resource: HP Global Workload Manager Central
Management Server
• Use the New Resource Wizard to create a generic service:
o Select the HP Global Workload Manager Central Management Server
service.
