Cr ea t ing the generic service resource: HPSIM Dela y Scr ip t
• Use the New Resource Wizard to create a generic script:
o If HPSIMDELAY.vbs does not exist already, referring to Appendix E:
HPSIMDELAY.vbs file content, copy the contents of HPSIMDELAY.vbs into a file
under the <HP SIM Install Path>\lbin. For example, V:\Program
Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\lbin\HPSIMDELAY.vbs.
o On the Gener ic Script Info screen, enter the location of the script just created.
o The Co nfirmation screen displays the Application name to be made a Generic
Script. Click
Nex t to confirm.
• Add the following dependencies to the new resource’s properties: Pegasus WMI Mapper.
Note:
This resource implements a beneficial delay when Systems Insight Manager
is started within five minutes after a system start.
Creating the generic service resource: HP Systems Insight Manager
• Use the New Resource Wizard to create a generic service:
o Select the HP Sy stems Insight Manager service.
o The Confirmation screen show s Ser v ice: HP Systems Insight Manager (HP
Sy st em s Insight Manager).
• Add the following dependencies to the new resource’s properties: System s Insight Manager
Disk , Systems Insight Manager N etw ork Name, Pegasus W M I Mapper and
HPSIMDelay Script.

• Use the New Resource Wizard to create a generic service:
o Select the O p en SSH Ser v er servi ce.
o The Confirmation screen shows Ser v ice: OpenSSH Server (OpenSSHd)
• Add the following dependencies to the new resource’s properties: H P SIM Disk and HP SIM
Network Name.
