When the
Virtual SQL Server Configuration
window appears, enter the IP address
for the new virtual server. This address must be unique. Be sure that the
Public
network
is selected in the
Network To Use
field. In this example, the IP Address
140.110.240.63
is used. There is no need to assign the private LAN address.

When the
Cluster Group Selection
window appears, select the cluster group where
SQL server’s
virtual server
resources, just specified, are to be placed. The shared
disk resource, by default,
where
the SQL Server Database Engine data files are
placed, should now be in this group. The SQL Group, shown in Figure 5, and the
shared disk resource
DiskS
:
are created for this purpose. Refer to the sections
above, create cluster resource groups for Insight Software and
SQ
L and create the
physical disk resource for the Insight Software and SQL resource groups.
