Figure 12: Recommended cluster configuration
Users should always browse to HP SIM and Insight software using the HP SIM virtual server name,
e.g.,
http://cms-hpsim.fqdn:280
.
Appendix A: Sample cluster resources creation script
This appendix includes a Microsoft Windows Script Host file that may be copied (for example, cut
and pasted), customized for your environment, and then executed to create the required CMS-HA
cluster resources. Also included are two VBScript script files containing common definitions and
functions used by the cluster resources creation script.
The scripts check that the cluster resource group for Insight software, in this paper āCMS-HA Groupā,
and the Insight software shared disk, in this paper ādisk v:ā, already exist. The scripts do not
create them. These items were created manually in the above sections: Create cluster resource groups
for Insight software and SQL and Create the physical disk resource for the Insight software and SQL
resource groups.
Follow these steps to create the required cluster resources:
1. Create the CMS-HA_defines.vbs, CMS-HA_common.vbs, and CMS-HA_script.wsf files
by copying the contents (for example, using cut and paste) as listed below.
2. Modify the CMS-HA_defines.vbs file to reflect values specific to your installation. The values
for the following constants are likely to be unique to each configuration.

o simIPAddr
o simIPNetmask
