Complete and validate the installation
At this time both nodes of the cluster remain online, Insight software services are online, and you are
logged into Windows as Administrator on the primary node.
Configure HP SIM and validate the cluster
It is important to complete the following HP SIM configuration steps on first login.
1. After waiting a few minutes to ensure that the HP SIM service has started, connect to the HP SIM
service through a client Web browser, using the network name you specified when creating the
HP SIM network name resource (CMS-HPSIM in this paper). The CMS-HPSIM:280 URL specifies the
virtual server network name and the port for the HP SIM service. For example,
http://cms-hpsim.fqdn:280
TIPS:
You must always specify port 280 in the URL of your Web browser to connect to the HP SIM service.
To learn more about connecting to HP SIM, refer to the
HP Systems Insight Manager User Guide .
2. A security alert displays. Click “Continue to this Web site”. The HP SIM login window appears.
