Create resources for Insight Control components
Depending upon which Insight Control components were installed, create the required cluster
resources, as described in the following sections.
Create the HP Insight Control server migration generic service resource
1. In the Cluster Administrator window, right click the CMS-HA Group from the left pane and select
New>Resource from the dropdown menu. The New Resource window appears.
2. Name the resource “CMS-HA SMP Service” and select resource type Generic Service.
3. Be sure that the two systems of the cluster are listed in the Possible Owners pane.
4. Select “CMS-HA Disk” as a dependency.
5. In the Service Parameters window, enter “hpSMPsvc” in the Service Name field.
Parameters are not required.
6. Registry replication information is not required.
Create the HP Insight Control server migration web generic service resource
1. In the Cluster Administrator window, right click the CMS-HA Group from the left pane and select
New>Resource from the dropdown menu. The New Resource window appears.
2. Name the resource “CMS-HA SMP Web Service” and select resource type Generic Service.
3. Be sure that the two systems of the cluster are listed in the Possible Owners pane.
4. Select “CMS-HA Disk” as a dependency.
5. In the Service Parameters window, enter “hpwebSMPsvc” in the Service Name field.
Parameters are not required.
6. Registry replication information is not required.
Create the HP Insight Control virtual machine management generic service resource
1. In the Cluster Administrator window, right click the CMS-HA Group from the left pane and select
New>Resource from the dropdown menu. The New Resource window appears.
2. Name the resource “CMS-HA VMM Service” and select resource type Generic Service.
3. Be sure that the two systems of the cluster are listed in the Possible Owners pane.
4. Select “CMS-HA Disk” and “CMS-HA SIM Service” as dependencies.
5. In the Service Parameters window, enter “hpvmmsvc” in the Service Name field.
Parameters are not required.
6. Registry replication information is not required.
Create resources for HP Insight Dynamics components
If HP Insight Dynamics was installed, create the cluster resources described in the following sections.
The resource definitions in this section support the Storage Provisioning Manager (SPM) technology
preview. They are safe to use whether or not you enable the SPM preview. The

Create the Application Discovery Service generic service resource
1. In the Cluster Administrator window, right click the CMS-HA Group from the left pane and select
New>Resource from the dropdown menu. The New Resource window appears.
2. Name the resource “CMS-HA AD Service” and select resource type Generic Service.
3. Be sure that the two systems of the cluster are listed in the Possible Owners pane.
4. Select “CMS-HA Disk” as a dependency.
