8. When the Virtual SQL Server Configuration window appears, enter the IP address for the new
virtual server. This address must be unique. Be sure that the Public network is selected in the
Network To Use field. In this example, the IP Address 140.110.240.63 is used. There is no need
to assign the private LAN address.
9. When the Cluster Group Selection window appears, select the cluster group where SQL servers
“virtual server” resources, just specified, are to be placed. The shared disk resource where, by
default, the SQL Server Database Engine data files will be placed, should now be in this group.
The “SQL Group”, shown in Figure 5, and the shared disk resource “Disk S:” are created for
this purpose. Refer to the sections above, Create cluster resource groups for Insight software and
SQL and Create the physical disk resource for the Insight software and SQL resource groups.

10. When the Cluster Node Configuration window appears, ensure that each node of the cluster
appears either as the Required Node or in the Selected Nodes list. The Required Node owns the
cluster group where the SQL Server data files are installed.
11. Follow the instructions to complete the Microsoft SQL Server setup process. On the Service
Accounts (Clusters) page be sure to create a domain-level SQL Administrator account. The
username, password, and domain from this account will be provided to HP SIM via the Insight
Software Installer. Refer to the

12. The Setup Progress window appears. Refer to setup error logs, if necessary. Log files can be
found in the Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Files directory of the
local boot disk.
