Creating the generic service resource: HP Insight Control virtual machine management
1. Use the New Resource Wizard to create a generic service:
a. Select the HP Insight Control virtual machine management service.
b. The Confirmation screen shows Service: HP Insight Control virtual machine
management (hpvmmsvc).
2. Add the following dependency to the new resource’s properties: HP Systems Insight
Manager.

If HP Matrix Operating Environment was installed, create the cluster resources described in the
following sections.
Creating the generic service resource: HP Global Workload Manager Central Management
Server
1. Use the New Resource Wizard to create a generic service:
a. Select the HP Global Workload Manager Central Management Server
service.
b. The Confirmation screen shows Service: HP Global Workload Manager Central
Management Server (HP Global Workload Manager CMS).
2. Add the following dependencies to the new resource’s properties: HP SIM Disk and HP
SIM Network Name.
Creating the generic service resource: HP Application Discovery
1. Use the New Resource Wizard to create a generic service:
a. Select the HP Application Discovery service.
b. The Confirmation screen shows Service: HP Application Discovery (AppDisc).
2. Add the following dependency to the new resource’s properties: HP Global Workload
Manager Central Management Server.
Creating the generic service resource: HP Agentless Data Collector Service
1. Use the New Resource Wizard to create a generic service:
a. Select the HP Agentless Data Collector Service service.
b. The Confirmation screen shows Service: HP Agentless Data Collector Service
(hp_agentless_service).
2. Add the following dependencies to the new resource’s properties: HP Global
Workload Manager Central Management Server and HP Systems Insight Manager.
Creating the generic service resource: HP Capacity Advisor Data Service (formerly known as
“HP Agentless Collection for Linux Systems”)
1. Use the New Resource Wizard to create a generic service:
a. Select the HP Capacity Advisor Data Service service.
