Issues and suggested actions
Performing logical server deactivation if there is a server bay with a server powered
up
Logical server deactivation can fail when a server remains on, even though it powers off during
deactivation. The following error message is displayed:
Cannot perform the Server Profile operation because there is a server
bay with a server powered up. Verify that all servers involved in the
operation are powered down, and then perform the operation again.
Suggested action
1. Check the current server power status by browsing to the VCEM GUI Bays tab and click on
the server bay name. If the server is still on, click either Press and Hold or Momentary Press
to power off the server.
2. Retry the deactivate logical server operation.
To avoid the issue, explicitly power off the server before deactivating the logical server. You can
power off the server from the Matrix OE visualization GUI or from the Matrix OE infrastructure
orchestration console.
