The function returns the result of the add operation or a jobid if –nb is specified.
Examples
• Add a new iSCSI connection to the profile:
vcemcli -add iscsi-connection –profilename MyNewProfile –Network
SomeNetwork
• Add a new iSCSI connection and leave it unassigned:
vcemcli -add iscsi-connection –profilename MyNewProfile
• Add a new iSCSI network connection and set the speed to Preferred:
vcemcli -add iscsi-connection –profilename MyProfile –network
MyNetwork –speedtype Preferred
• Add a new iSCSI network connection and set the speed to 2Gb:
vcemcli -add iscsi-connection –profilename MyProfile –network

Remarks
The job status for the jobid can be obtained by executing VCEMCLI with the –show job command
and providing the associated job ID. For more information see “show job” (page 60).
VC firmware 3.10 or later is required in order to use iSCSI. VC supports a maximum of 32 iSCSI
connections. The VC Domain must contain at least one of the following modules in the interconnect
bays in order to create an iSCSI connection:
• FlexFabric 10GB/24-port module
• Flex-10 Enet Module
