Once the import operation has completed in the target CMS with a different IP address, open a
command prompt and enter the following commands to register the deployment servers in your
environment using the new IP address.
Insight Control server deployment
mxnodesecurity –a –p dsc_rdp –c username:password -t on -n <ipaddress of
IC server deployment server>
Ignite-UX
mxnodesecurity –a –p dsc_ignite –c username:password -t on -n <ipaddress
of Ignite server>
HP Server Automation (SA)
mxnodesecurity –a –p dsc_sas –c username:password -t on -n <ipaddress of
SA server>
Step 18: Post-import cluster migration - Modify CMS name in HP Matrix recovery management.
After migrating to a cluster, modify the central management server (CMS) name in Matrix recovery
management at both the local and remote site.
1. Launch the HP Matrix recovery management graphical user interface (GUI) from the HP Matrix
Operating Environment home page by selecting Tools and then selecting Matrix recovery
management... from the drop-down menu.
2. Navigate to the sites tab and edit the site information of the CMS that was migrated.
3. Specify the HPSIM/IM Name/Host Name (also known as the network name of the MSCS HPSIM
virtual server) of the target CMS.
