Figure 16. Use the VCEM VC Domains tab to view the current status the VC Domain
3. After the execution of phase 2 completes, you are given the opportunity to repeat this
phase. Before repeating this phase, you must reissue the request to remove the VC
Domain from the restore VCEM database. You can reissue the Remove From VC Domain
Group… request by selecting Integrated Consoles Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager
(VCEM)… from the Tools menu in Systems Insight Manager. Select the VC Domains tab to
remove the selected VC Domain from the VC Domain Group.
Once the VC Domain is successfully removed from the VCEM database, you can return
to the mxsync and respond ‘y’ to the prompt Would you like to repeat this synchronization
phase? (Y/N):.
Important:
Do not proceed to the Logical server Synchronization section until
all added and removed VC Domains have been successfully
processed. Recommendations made during the Logical server
section are based on the assumption that the VCEM database is
up-to-date. If this is not true, the recommended actions may be
incorrect.
4. Once you have successfully completed the VCEM phases, you can proceed to the
Logical server Synchronization section. During this section, any logical server definition or
storage pool entry in the restored Matrix OE database that is associated with an
EXTERNAL MAC or WWN address is deleted from the database.
5. During the HP IO Synchronization section you are given the opportunity, in phase 2, to
update the restored infrastructure orchestration database to delete infrastructure
orchestration services that are no longer assigned to blades in VC Domains managed
by VCEM. In phase 3, you are asked to identify any IP addresses that are associated with
these servers.
