The mxsync tool is divided into five sections that are executed sequentially in the following
order: Systems Insight Manager, Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager (VCEM), Logical server
and associated SAN-based Storage (LSM), HP Matrix infrastructure orchestration (HP IO)
and HP Matrix recovery management (RM). Each section is responsible for identifying
inconsistencies between the representation of a resource in its restored database and that
of the underlying updated layer.
Prior to starting the synchronization activity, the mxsync tool checks the status of the Insight
Management services and recommends actions for stopping and starting services. If you
respond “y” to the request to perform the recommended changes, the required services
will be started and all other services are stopped.
