RM SRA is configured by SRA command.pl as an interface adapter and uses the RMSRA20
command. In case of a remote storage connection configuration, SRA command.pl calls the
RMSRA20 command on a Guest OS running a RAID Manager instance. The Guest OS can then
use either the Linux or Solaris/x86 operating systems.
Required RAID Manager and Array Configurations
HORCM instances
The rmsra command needs HORCM instances X on both sites, but it does not need the remote
communication between HORCM X. If you create a CA paired volume via the RAID Manager,
remote communication is required. HORCM instance X+1 is needed for testFailover. RMSRA
uses the [-auto] option to start the instances if they are not running. Figure 6 (page 14) shows
an RMSRA20 RAID Manager configuration.
