Configuring the Fibre Channel Ports
The LUN Manager software enables users to configure the Fibre Channel ports for the connected
operating system and operational environment (for example, FC-AL or fabric). For further information

your HP representative.
The storage system supports a maximum of 192 Fibre Channel ports. Each FC port is assigned a
unique target ID (from 0 to EF) and provides addressing capabilities for up to 1024 LUNs across as
many as 255 host groups (host storage domains), each with its own LUN 0 and its own host mode.
Multiple host groups (up to 49,152 per storage system) are supported using LUN Security. The
following figure illustrates fibre port-to-LUN addressing.
