4 LUN Manager operations
Use spreadsheets in LUNM to change storage system settings. You use CFL in LUNM to process
spreadsheets.
LUN Manager spreadsheet tasks
You can configure a spreadsheet to add, change, or delete the following system settings:
Configuration settings, which include:
Arbitrated loop-physical address (AL-PA)
Data transfer speed (host speed)
Topology
LUN security
[HostGroup] function tag settings
[WWN] function tag settings
Path settings
Command device settings
Workflow for CFL-based spreadsheets in LUN Manager
Use the following workflow to process CFL-based spreadsheets:
1. Export the system settings to a spreadsheet. For more information about exporting system
settings, see “Exporting system settings to spreadsheets in LUN Manager” (page 21).
2. Set up the spreadsheet for editing. For more information about setting up spreadsheets, see
“Setting up spreadsheets for editing in LUN Manager” (page 22).
3. Edit the spreadsheet. For more information about editing spreadsheets, see “Editing CFL-based
spreadsheets in LUN Manager” (page 24).
4. Import the spreadsheet. For more information about importing spreadsheets, see “Importing
and validating CFL-based spreadsheets in LUN Manager” (page 29).
Note: If the spreadsheet imports with errors, correct the errors by editing the spreadsheet then
repeat this step. For more information about correcting errors, see “Errors when importing
CFL-based spreadsheets in LUN Manager” (page 30).
5. Apply the changes to the spreadsheet. For more information about applying changes, see
Applying changes to CFL-based spreadsheets in LUN Manager” (page 31).
Exporting system settings to spreadsheets in LUN Manager
Use this procedure to export system settings from CFL to a spreadsheet. When you export the
system settings, the spreadsheet is created.
1. In RWC, select Actions > Other Functions > Configuration File Loader.
2. Change to modify mode by clicking the Modify icon.
3. In the Configuration File Loader window, click Select Sheet and then select the product whose
system settings you want to export.
4. Click Export.
Note: If you use a Web browser for UNIX systems, the Download Manager dialog box can
display. If this dialog box displays, close it.
