Comparison of supporting commands
IBM FlashCopy supports the ICKDSF commands while Compatible FlashCopy partly supports them.
However, if you execute the commands to a Cnt Ac-S Z M-VOL or BC Z S-VOL that is in pending
status, the commands will end abnormally with CC=12. See “If ICKDSF command ends abnormally”
(page 113) for details on how to avoid the abnormal ending.
In addition, Compatible FlashCopy does not support the following parameters of the TSO commands:
FC Establish command
• OPENDVCS
• MODE (ASYNC)
FC Query command
• OPENDVCS
• UNFORMAT
FC Withdraw command
• OPENDVCS
• ACTION (COMMIT/REVERT)
Compatible FlashCopy does not support the following parameters of ICKDSF commands:
FLASHCPY WITHDRAW command
• REVERT | COMMIT
Compatible FlashCopy does not support the following parameters of ANTRQST commands.
