are enabled. PPRC copy pairs for which UCBHSWAP is set to ON
are not defined in the CA copy group definition file.
• NOCHECK: Does not check whether HyperSwap is enabled for the
detected PPRC copy pairs. All detected copy pairs, even if
HyperSwaps are enabled for them, are defined as CA copy groups
without the HyperSwap attribute.
The initial display is NOCHECK.
Pressing the Enter key starts the background job for scanning the P-VOL.
The volumes within the range specified in Device Num are scanned. If an invalid character is
specified, or if the value specified for Start is greater than the value specified for End, an error
message prompts you to re-enter the values.
The values specified here are used during the execution of the background job. JCL uses a value
indicated in the “Set Defaults panel (prefix and DAD ID settings)” (page 27).
Before executing a scan, create a disk configuration definition file for the search-target storage
system in the Discover HP Storage System panel.
When the background scanning job is completed, the configuration information for the scanned
copy pair is saved in the copy group definition file. A name that conforms to the value in
Configuration File Prefix, CA Copy Group ID, and TCA Copy Group ID or BC Copy Group ID in the
Set Defaults panel is assigned to the file using the following format:
prefix.GRP.ggggggnn
Where:
• gggggg: Copy group name
• nn: 2-digit serial number beginning with 00
A copy group definition file is created as follows:
• CA copy groups: A single copy group definition file is created for all searched copy pairs.
• TCA copy groups: A copy group definition file is created for each C/T group.
• BC copy groups: A single copy group definition file is created for all searched copy pairs.
To check the created copy group definition file, press the F4=Refresh key in the Copy Group
Selection List panel.
NOTE: If a copy group definition file having the same name already exists, it is overwritten.
When executing scan operations repeatedly, HP recommends that you change the value specified
for CA Copy Group ID, TCA Copy Group ID, or BC Copy Group ID before each execution.
If you specify NOCHECK for HS, do not include in the search range a CA pair volume of PPRC for
which HyperSwap is enabled. If such a volume is included in the search range, the PPRC CA copy
pair for which HyperSwaps are enabled to which the volume belongs is defined as part of a CA
copy group without the HyperSwap attribute.
Browse Copy Group Detail Definition Panel
If you specify b for the AC of a CG container in the Copy Group Selection List panel, the Browse
Copy Group Detail Definition appears, which displays by C/T group the copy groups included in
the CG container.
The following figure shows the Browse Copy Group Detail Definition Panel.
