• One of the fields in the procedure, Round Trip Time, is covered more extensively in Determining
Round Trip Time (page 17).
• Logical path settings are required in order to perform Continuous Access Synchronous pair
operations and check pair status in Remote Web Console. Make sure to complete the
procedure. If you cancel logical path settings, you will be unable to perform operations and
check status.
Also, operations involving logical paths cannot be performed when changing the microcode.
Make sure the microcode change completes before performing operations involving logical
paths.
Procedure 8 To configure the Continuous Access Synchronous systems and define logical paths
1. In Remote Web Console, click Actions > Remote Copy > Continuous Access Synchronous >
RCU Operation.
2. Change to Modify mode by clicking the icon.
3. In the Display box, select MCU&RCU. The tree displays CUs for the accessed system.
4. Click the desired CU in the tree. You must add RCUs to each CU separately.
For ESAM, select CU Free (do not select a specific CU number).
5. Right-click the list area on the right-side. In the menu that displays, click RCU Operation/Add
RCU. The Add RCU (Fibre) dialog box displays.
