HP XP P9000 Continuous Access Synchronous for Mainframe Systems User Guide
DescriptionItem
Controller ID and model name of the remote system.Controller ID
• For controller ID 6, XP P9500 is the model name.
• For controller ID 5, XP24000/XP20000 Disk Array is the model name.
• For controller ID 4, XP12000 Disk Array/XP10000 Disk Array is the model name.
Data path channel type.MCU-RCU Path
Number of tracks copied per interval during the initial copy. Copy pace can be 3 tracks
or 15 tracks.
Copy Pace
This field displays only when the P-VOL is selected. It is disabled when the status becomes
Duplex.
Order in which initial copy/resynchronizing operations are performed on multiple pairs.Initial Copy Priority
This field displays only when the P-VOL is selected. It is disabled when the status becomes
Duplex.
This value is 0 for pairs created with the CESTPAIR TSO command or Business Continuity
Manager.
The P-VOL shows Never, Data, or Status. For more information, see “Fence Level options
for I/O to the P-VOL after suspension” (page 36) .
P-VOL Fence Level
Indicates whether write I/O to the S-VOL is enabled or disabled. When Enabled,
Enabled/Received or Enabled/Not Received appears depending on whether I/O
has been received by the volume.
S-VOL Write
Date and time the pair was created.Paired Time
Date and time pair status was last updated.Last Update Time
Amount of time for the actual pair creation to complete. This differs from the time displayed
in the Copy Time field on the History window, which includes the extra time used by the
storage system to receive the request and start the operation.
Pair Copy Time
This field displays only when the P-VOL is selected.
Indicates whether or not the host I/O time stamp is transferred from the P-VOL to the S-VOL.Time Stamp
Method by which differential data is stored: by cylinder or by track.Difference Management
Indicates whether CFW data is copied to the S-VOL or not. Only P-VOL is recommended
because copying CFW data impacts storage system performance and it is typically used
CFW Data
for temporary files (for example, sort work datasets), which are not usually required for
disaster recovery.
If you select Only P-VOL when creating a pair, the data set that is updated by CFW in the
P-VOL cannot be used in the S-VOL. To use this data set in the S-VOL, release the pair and
format the data set.
This field displays only when the P-VOL is selected.
Shows whether the main system will suspend the pair if the remote system cannot run DFW
(DASD fast write) to the S-VOL.
DFW to S-VOL
This field displays only when the P-VOL is selected.
• DFW required indicates that the pair will be suspended when DFW data to the S-VOL
is blocked.
• DFW not required indicates that the pair will not be suspended when DFW data to the
S-VOL is blocked.
If a Cnt Ac-S Z pair is established using PPRC commands, the DFW to S-VOL option is set
to the DFW not required setting.
