You can perform all BC operations, with the following exceptions, in the intermediate site,
irrespective of Cnt Ac-S pair status. The Cnt Ac-J delta resync pair’s status must be HOLD or HLDE:
• You can perform Reverse Copy only when the Cnt Ac-S and Cnt Ac-J pair status is PSUS,
PSUE, or SSWS.
• You cannot perform the Quick Restore.
External Storage
If you use BC with Ext Stor, you can create pairs to use the external volumes.
For more information about the external volumes, see the HP XP P9000 External Storage for Open
and Mainframe Systems User Guide.
Auto LUN
You can assign the following BC volumes to Auto LUN migration volumes:
• L1 P-VOL with up to two S-VOLs.
• L2 P-VOL with one S-VOL.
• Reserved volumes.
To assign or reserve BC volumes to Auto LUN migration volumes, complete the following:
1. Delete the BC pairs.
2. Unreserve the reserved BC S-VOLs.
3. Assign the BC volumes to Auto LUN migration volumes.
You cannot use BC volumes for destination volumes.
