The following is a list of requirements and restrictions:
• RAID Manager is required to run this and all operations on the pairs in the consistency group.
If you have performed pair operations using the RWC after creating pairs using RAID Manager,
you cannot use consistency group pair-split.
• You can use consistency group pair-split when BC P-VOLs are shared with Cnt Ac-J or Cnt
Ac-S S-VOLs. For more information, see “The consistency group pair-split for shared volumes”
(page 19).
The consistency group pair-split for shared volumes
If you share BC P-VOLs in a storage system with Cnt Ac-S or Cnt Ac-J S-VOLs, you can use
consistency group pair-split to keep the BC S-VOLs consistent. The following illustrate consistency
group pair-split with Cnt Ac-S and with Cnt Ac-J.
