Performing primary site storage system maintenance
The following are the procedures for primary site storage system maintenance.
The procedure below applies when you perform a failover to remote site 1. To perform a failover
to remote site 2, replace remote site 1 with remote site 2 in the procedure.
Failover
1. Stop operation at the primary site.
2. From remote site 1, execute the YKDELETE command for the Continuous Access Journal Z
copy pair between the primary site and remote site 2.
• YKQUERY
• YKDELETE
• YKEWAIT GOTO(SIMPLEX)
3. From remote site 1, execute the YKSUSPND REVERSE command for the Continuous Access
Journal Z copy pair between the primary site and remote site 1.
• YKQUERY
• YKSUSPND REVERSE
• YKEWAIT GOTO(SUSPEND)
