Definition procedure (4x4 configuration)
A 4x4 configuration is defined in the following procedure.
1. Set up the storage system.
Set the items that need to be set by using Remote Web Console from among the items listed
in Table 69 (page 227).
2. Set up a Business Continuity Manager environment.
Do the following:
Scan the storage system to create a disk configuration definition file.
Define a path set and establish a logical path.
Define a route list and register a command device.
3. Create a copy group
Define copy groups, create copy pairs, and register journal groups in the EXCTG of the storage
system.
The journal group is registered in the EXCTG of the storage system when the YKMAKE command
is executed. If a copy pair has already been created, executing the YKMAKE SELECT(COND)
command simply registers the journal group in the EXCTG.
This subsection describes the procedures to define a 4x4 configuration for each of the following
cases:
Defining a new 4x4 configuration
Expanding to a 4x4 configuration by adding storage systems to a 2DC configuration
Changing to a 4x4 configuration without changing the current storage system
Adding a new journal group to a 4x4 configuration
Adding an existing journal group to a 4x4 configuration
The following is the legend used for the figures represented in this subsection.
