Definition procedure (3DC Multi-Target (Cnt Ac-J Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration)
First, set the items that need to be set by using Remote Web Console from among the items listed
in Table 54 (page 188).
This section explains how to define a 3DC Multi-Target (Cnt Ac-J Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration from
the ISPF panel.
For details about how to operate the ISPF panels, see “Using the ISPF panels” (page 588).
The figures in the procedures in this section use the following legend.
Performing a scan
Perform a scan that includes the volumes to be defined in the copy group and the command device.
In a 3DC Multi-Target (Cnt Ac-J Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration, operations might be required at each
site; therefore, you need to perform a scan from each host, instead of a Remote Scan, to acquire
the correct information, such as the device number (Devn).
To perform a scan from each host in a 3DC Multi-Target (Cnt Ac-J Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration to
acquire information:
1. Scan the primary site from the primary host.
2. Scan remote site 1 from remote host 1.
