• A CU to be specified for a path set must include a volume to be defined in a Cnt Ac-S
copy group and a command device for the forward direction.
• Only define paths in the forward direction in a path set that is defined at the primary site.
Create a path set of paths for the reverse direction from the secondary site.
These steps create the path set definition file.
3. Create a route list for the forward direction (Primary → Intermediate → Remote route).
From the Insert Remote Route Entry panel, add route entries for the intermediate or remote
site. The Insert Remote Route Entry panel is displayed by specifying r for AC in the Entire
Route Information panel.

4. Establish an inter-control unit logical path (Primary → Intermediate).
Establishing an inter-control unit logical path is part of creating the path set definition file.
