Thin Provisioning Z
The virtual volume of Thin Provisioning Z (V-VOL) can be assigned as a part of Cnt Ac-S Z pair. A
Cnt Ac-S Z pair creation with a V-VOL and a not-V-VOL is also available. See the following table
for the details.

The 3390-X above represents the device emulation types of 3390 series except 3390-A. (see
Table 6 (page 16) for the 3390 device emulation types supported by Cnt Ac-S Z.) The V-VOL
combined with the device types other than 3390 is not available.
To enable the data migration from existing storage to the V-VOL (3390-A) or not-V-VOL (3390-A),
a combination of the not-V-VOL (3390-X) as the P-VOL and the V-VOL (3390-A) or not-V-VOL
