and consistency information for copy groups.
restore journal The copy destination journal for Cnt Ac-J.
resync copy This function executes the YKRESYNC command in the suspend status and uses differential data
copying to return the status to DUPLEX.
REXX One of the structured programming languages developed by IBM. Mainly used on the IBM
mainframe OS and used as the macro language for calling applications and OS functions.

SAF System authorization facility.
SCP The status in which I/Os are suspended within the OS.
SDSF System display and search facility.
secondary DAD Device address domain that contains the S-VOLs in a copy group.
secondary site A site with a recovery host and a DKC in a 2DC configuration. This is the destination for backup
copies. To prevent both hosts from stopping simultaneously during a disaster, it should be some
hundreds to some thousands of kilometers away from the primary host.
service processor A computer built into a storage system. Maintenance workers use this computer to analyze
maintenance information, and diagnose devices.

sidefile Memory cache in DKC used in Cnt Ac-A. Updates to P-VOL are first saved in the sidefile in the
DKC on the primary site, and then copied to the sidefile in the DKC on the secondary site
asynchronously, and are finally applied in the S-VOL.
SLEEP command An operator command used to put BCM Monitor to sleep. By specifying this parameter in the
MODIFY command, you can specify the points at which BCM Monitor enters sleep mode and
how long it remains asleep.
