Device to Command Devices on Multiple Storage Systems
When Multiple Command Devices Are Defined for a Single Storage System
on the Same Device Address Domain
Only one command device can be defined for each storage system on a single device address
domain.
Sometimes, however, multiple command devices need to be defined for one storage system, for
example, to divide all resources up between test operations and production operations. In cases
like this, define the command devices by splitting the device address domain IDs.
To set several command devices:
1. In the Set Defaults panel, change the Device Address Domain ID (Local Device Address Domain
ID) and scan a device different from the existing devices.
2. In the Route Config panel, define a route list ID different from the existing route list IDs.
Additionally, define an APID that is different from the existing APIDs.
3. In the Define Command Device panel, define a command device different from the existing
command devices.
The following shows the three screens associated with this procedure.
