The Compatible FlashCopy linkage configuration
Overview of functions
A configuration in which a Compatible FlashCopy S-VOL and a Continuous Access Synchronous,
Continuous Access Asynchronous, or Continuous Access Journal copy pair P-VOL are the same
volume can be concurrently used as shown in Figure 25 (page 54)
When Compatible FlashCopy is linked, datasets created by using Compatible FlashCopy can be
remotely copied to the secondary site by using Continuous Access Synchronous, Continuous Access
Asynchronous, or Continuous Access Journal.

Continuous Access Synchronous Z can be used to link with a Compatible FlashCopy pair that uses
the Preserve Mirror function as shown in Figure 26 (page 55).
