• Case where the conditions described in No. 2 are not satisfied:
Some Cnt Ac-S Z copy pairs have different copy direction from others.
2. Execute the YKEWIT GOTO(HOLD) command.
If all conditions in Table 83 (page 341) are met, copy pairs will automatically change to HOLD
status after a brief interval.
When all conditions in Table 83 (page 341) are met but copy pairs do not change from the
HOLDTRNS status to the HOLD status, execute the procedure in “When Copy Pairs Do Not
Change to HOLD Status” (page 342).
When Copy Pairs Do Not Change to HOLD Status
In the procedure in “Managing the HOLDTRNS Status” (page 341), when all conditions for changing
to the HOLD status are met but copy pairs do not change to the HOLD status, an error might occur
in the inter-DKC path to which a delta sync pair, P-VOL and S-VOL belong, or the copy direction
of all Cnt Ac-J Z copy pairs is not from the primary site to the remote site (when using failback, the
direction from the local site to the remote site). In this case, recover the failed path, or modify the
copy direction of all Cnt Ac-J Z pairs to be from the primary site toward the remote site (from the
