When an Extended C/T Group ID (EXCTG ID) is specified in the copy group container, the container
is registered in the storage system as an EXCTG, and consistency between the journal groups in
that CG container is preserved.
Specifying an EXCTG ID in a CG container is explained in “Defining an EXCTG” (page 489).
Terminology by Copy Type
The terminology used to describe similar situations can differ, depending on the type of copy group
represented. “Phrase Used to Refer to BC Z and Cnt-Ac S Z Copy Groups” (page 27) through
“Phrase Used to Refer to Cnt Ac-J Z Copy Group” (page 27) provide the terminology used when
working with each of the copy types supported by Business Continuity Manager.
