HP P9000 Business Continuity Manager User Guide

In this panel, the scanned devices are displayed for each control unit.
In the example shown in the CU Selection List for Edit devn panel, two control units have been
scanned. For CU00, the devices that belong to the local control unit have already been assigned
a dummy device number (3A00). For CU02, no dummy device number has been assigned (indicated
by the value NOTSET in the Information column). Specify e in the AC column for CU02 to assign
dummy device numbers to the devices belonging to CU02.
When a dummy device number is assigned and the remote scan finishes, the Discover HP Storage
Arrays panel is displayed. In this panel, each of the storage systems that has been remotely-scanned
is indicated by:
An asterisk (*) beside the storage system serial number of the storage system (64050 in this
panel).
The value of the Description column changed from UNDISCOVERED-REMOTE-STORAGE to
DISCOVERED-REMOTE-STORAGE.
You can change the dummy device number of only this storage system. For the procedures for
performing this operation, see Assigning a dummy device number” (page 474).
