Performing a remote scan to acquire remote storage system information
Acquire remote storage system information by specifying a route list ID and performing a remote
scan. When the scan completes, assign a dummy device number.
Before performing a remote scan, make sure the following conditions are satisfied.
• A logical path (inter-control unit or inter-disk controller logical path) is established.
To confirm this, in the Path Set Status panel, which is displayed from the Manage Path Set
panel (from the Main Menu panel, choose 5 Manage Path Set), check whether a logical path
has been established
