If any of the volumes detected in a remote scan or NG scan has not been assigned a dummy
device number (that is, if NOTSET is displayed under Information for any volume), the CU Selection
List for Remote Storage Array panel cannot be closed. In such cases, pressing F3=Exit generates
an error message.
If a command device is not contained within the scanned range specified in the Scan Remote
Device Address Extent panel, the dummy device numbers are not assigned to the command devices.
For example, the CU Selection List for the Remote Storage System panel that is displayed after the
scan does not display the command devices. If you exit the CU Selection List for Remote Storage
System panel by pressing F3=Exit, and enter e in AC in the Discover HP Storage System panel.
NOTSET is displayed in Information for the CU number to which the command device belongs.
Assign a dummy device number to the command device.
If the Scan Device Address Extent panel transitions to the CU Selection List for Remote Storage
System panel, you can return to the Scan Device Address Extent panel by pressing the F3=Exit key
in the CU Selection List for Remote Storage System panel.
If the Scan Remote Device Address Extent panel or the Discover HP Storage System panel transitions
to the CU Selection List for Remote Storage System panel, you can return to the Discover HP Storage
System panel by pressing the F3=Exit key in the Selection List for Remote Storage Array panel.
CCA Selection List for Edit devn Panel
If s is specified in AC in the CU Selection List for Remote Storage System panel, or if a dummy
device number is entered in the Edit Device Number for CU panel, and then Enter is pressed, the
CCA Selection List for Edit devn panel will be displayed. CCA Selection List for Edit devn panel
displays the dummy device number assigned to each volume detected in a remote scan or NG
scan.
