HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor Database Listener
Retry the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor upgrade procedure.
Performance Advisor upgrade error 1718
Cause
Occasionally, while upgrading from a supported version of Performance Advisor, the following
error message may be displayed during the installation/upgradation process.

Resolution
Complete the following steps to resolve this issue:
1. Click Start, click Run, type control admintools, and then click OK.
2. Double-click Local Security Policy.
3. Click Software Restriction Policies.
NOTE: If software restrictions are not listed, right-click Software Restriction Policies, and then
click Create New Policy to create a new policy.
4. Under Object Type, double-click Enforcement.
5. Click All users except local administrators, and then click OK.
6. Restart the computer.
Performance Advisor security and Tomcat services does not start after an installation
Cause
On certain systems, occasionally, the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor security and Tomcat
services do not start after an installation. It is because the msvcr71.dll file that is required for
these services to start is not located in the system search path.
Resolution
If the Performance Advisor security and Tomcat services does not start after an installation, reboot
the server. If the problem persists, contact HP support.
