Notes
This document describes the new features, enhancements, and fixes provided in the v6.0 release
of the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor software.
Description
The HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor Software (P9000 Performance Advisor) collects, monitors,
and displays the in-depth performance data of XP and P9000 (P9500) disk arrays. You can monitor
the performance and utilization of components, such as LDEV (Logical Device), CHIP (Client-Host
Interface Processor), or CHA (Channel Adapter), ACP (Array Control Processor), DKA (Disk Adapter),
DKC (Disk Controller), or MP blades.
P9000 Performance Advisor includes HP XP P9000Watch, a real-time troubleshooting tool that
helps you to identify the root cause of performance issues.
IMPORTANT: HP XP P9000Watch and HP XP P9000Sketch were called XPWatch and XPSketch
in versions prior to v5.0. Only the product titles have changed. The respective binaries, commands,
and the functionalities remain the same.

Supported XP and P9000 disk arrays and firmware versions
Table 1 (page 3) lists the XP and P9000 (P9500) disk arrays and the firmware versions that
P9000 Performance Advisor supports.

NOTE:
• P9000 Performance Advisor v6.0 supports all hard disks that are supported by XP and P9000
(P9500) disk arrays. HP recommends that you install or upgrade to the latest RMLIB version
to obtain the new features.
• If you upgrade to a firmware version that is not within the qualified range, the outband mode
of configuration data collection might fail.
