HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor Software v5.5.1 Release Notes (T1789-96349)

While searching for a host group in HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5, all host groups
are displayed in the search results. The host group that you searched for is not highlighted.
Alarms related to CLPR in HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.4 and earlier are unavailable
in HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5.
If you split common components, such as RAID group and Port, across multiple performance
data collection schedules in HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5, the total number of host
groups displayed in Charts > Host groups and Alarms > Host groups nodes are incorrect.
If the scheduled configuration data collection fails in HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5,
the following message is logged in the PA.log file:
nl
[com.hp.xpsl.xml.ConfigurationServlet]ConfigCollection:HandleInputStream(),
Exception in config collection java.sql.SQLException:ORA-00001:unique
constraint(XPSLPERF.PK_XPS_CONF_PERF_DATA_COLL)violated.
The failure notification is not sent to the specified email address and the event is also not
logged on the Event Log screen.
After upgrading to HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5, when the configuration data
collection completes, the old configurations are not cleared and are still visible under host
group charts and alarms Host Group’s node.
In HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5 and HP XP P9000Watch, at the host group node,
the values of the Total IO/s Frontend and Total MBs Frontend performance metrics are
displayed depending on the number of paths of the LDEVs.
The Journal Group Detail View screen does not display data when you click a journal group
volume ID that is created from concatenated RAID groups.
Notes
While creating performance data collection schedules in HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor
v5.5.1, you cannot split the components selected from the DKC, Port, and RG component type
lists into two schedules. If you upgrade to HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5.1, you can
use the performance data collection schedules created in HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor
v5.5 by splitting the components. However, you cannot edit and save such schedules. HP
recommends that you delete split schedules and recreate schedules with similar component
types. If you save split schedules after modifications, the component types that are split are
removed and the remaining component types are saved in the schedule.
In P9000 Performance Advisor Array View - CA screen, if the CA configurations have mirror
IDs other than 0, the CA Journal volumes are not identified and displayed on the screen.
Current Status: no ETA as of P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5.1 release date.
Incorrect data is read from the snapshots taken using the FastSnap feature in the HP XP P9500
disk arrays with firmware versions 70-05-02-00/00 to 70-05-14-00/00.
Workaround: The HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor software supports the FastSnap feature
on the disk arrays with firmware version 70-05-15-00/00 or later. If an earlier version of the
firmware is installed, HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor might display incorrect values.
HP recommends that you use Adobe Flash Player v10.1.85.3 or later for HP XP P9000
Performance Advisor v5.5.1. The Adobe Flash Player v10.1.85.3 installation file is available
in the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor installation disk 2.
The CurIO and CurKB performance metrics are removed from HP XP P9000Watch, as the
values of these metrics were not consistent with other metrics, such as MaxIO, MinIo, AvgIo,
and AvgKb. The time interval of the CurIO and CurKB metrics did not align to the time interval
of the other metrics.
