Enhancements
The following is a list of enhancements in HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5.1:
• HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5.1 has been upgraded with Tomcat v7.0.40.
• Reports are optimized for improved performance. The individual CHIPs are removed from the
All report. In addition, while generating CHIP Utilization reports, you can select multiple CHIPs
from the Available CHIPs list.
• The LDEV IO section in the Host Group reports displays backend and frontend metrics.
HP XP P9000Watch enhancements
There are no new enhancements in this release.
Upgrading Performance Advisor
To install the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5.1 patch, ensure that HP XP P9000
Performance Advisor v5.5 is installed on the management station. To upgrade the current host
agent version to v5.5.1, ensure that HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5 is installed on the
host agent.
NOTE:
• If you upgrade the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor version to v5.5.1, you cannot modify
or repair the settings that you selected during the installation of HP XP P9000 Performance
Advisor v5.5 on the management station.
• HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5.1 installer log details are available in the
PA_Patch.log file located in the TEMP folder. No backup of this file is available.

IMPORTANT: HP Support Center provides support to the current and previous two major releases
of the software. If you have installed an older version of HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor, then
HP recommends that you upgrade it to a supported version, or to the latest version of the product.
Fixes
HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5.1 includes the following defect fixes:
• The following message appears occasionally on the Array View MP Blades screen, when you
click an MP blade to view its utilization summary:
Data is not present for top components for MPB-XX.
• Performance data collection fails in HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5 due to the
following Smart Pool related error that is logged in the PA.log file:

• In HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5, no alarm notification is received if the alarm
threshold limit has crossed. The Status field on the Alarm History screen displays NA.
• In HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.4, v5.4.1, and v5.5, creating performance collection
schedules without RAID group collection results in high CPU utilization.
• In HP XP P9000Sketch, you cannot plot graphs for the selected metrics after loading the
generated CSV files from HP XP P9000Watch.
• Upgrade to HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v5.5 fails, if the value of the decimal symbol
is not “.” in the system locale settings.
