HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software v5.4.1 Release Notes (T1789-96345, October 2012)

For XP/P9500 disk arrays with concatenated parity groups, you might notice 4D+4D RAID
type instead of two 2D+2D concatenated parity groups in the Performance Estimator screen.

While charting backend transfer metrics for DKCs or ACPs with concatenated RAID groups,
you might observe that the total write tracks do not match the sum of the individual DKC or
ACP metrics.
Current Status: This will be fixed in the subsequent release.
An error log is displayed on the console of the AIX host agent in the following conditions:
P9000Watch is active on Advanced Interactive eXecutive (AIX) v6.1.
Multi-pathing (MPIO) is enabled on the AIX host agent.
Parameters, dyntrk is set to yes and fc_error is set to fast_fail.
The error log is also displayed when you run the errpt a command from the Kernel of the
AIX operating system. The following is an excerpt from the error log:

You can ignore the error log, as it does not impact the P9000Watch activities or the output
it provides.

When the response time from an XP or a P9000 (P9500) disk array is high (for example,
around 3700 read I/Os with each taking close to 10 milliseconds), use a shorter performance
data collection frequency (around 2 minutes) in P9000 Performance Advisor or use
P9000Watch.

P9000Watch does not support apostrophe (') in the host group name.

P9000Sketch does not support the .csv files that are generated using P9000Watch in the
CLI mode.

When you uninstall P9000 Performance Advisor on a management station, the contents in
the C:\windows\system32\config\Oracle directory does not get removed. Hence,
re-installation fails.
Workaround: Delete the C:\windows\system32\config\Oracle directory before
re-installing P9000 Performance Advisor on the management station.
