HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software v5.4.1 Release Notes (T1789-96345, October 2012)
Fixes
P9000 Performance Advisor v5.4.1 includes the following fixes:
• Performance Advisor GUI accepts multiple e-mail addresses for Test SMTP and Alarm related
e-mails from the configuration alarm screen.
• Serious alarms and good information alarms are functional.
• Alarm triggers after editing or updating the alarms.
• Updated changes for alarms are seen in alarm history.
Notes
• The log file PA_PATCH.log for the v5.4.1 patch is located in the temp folder.
• Repair and Modify functions are not available in the v5.4.1 patch installer; only uninstall
option is available through the Add or Remove Programs menu item.
• If RAID6 with 14D+2P disk mechs are configured in an array, the configuration collection
and performance collection continues to be functional; however, the disk mechs displayed
under the Array View screen for 14D+2P is incorrect.
• Occasionally, the recovery alarms do not dispatch if the configured value for the metric is
zero.
• P9000Watch and CLUI are not supported on an OpenVMS Integrity Server (IA-64) host.
Current Status: Fix is being investigated, no ETA as of P9000 Performance Advisor v5.4.1
release date.
• The Show the Windows Installer Log check box is non-functional.
Workaround: To view the PA_Install.log file, go to <system_drive>:\
P9000_PA_Install_Log path, where <system_drive> refers to the drive on which the
operating system is installed.
Current Status: Fix is being investigated, no ETA as of P9000 Performance Advisor v5.4.1
release date.
• The Journal Group Detail View screen does not display data when you click a journal group
volume ID that is created from concatenated RAID groups.
Workaround: In the Array View - LDEV screen, filter the existing list of LDEV records for a
particular journal pool ID to view LDEVs that belong to that particular journal pool. The LDEV
related performance metrics are also displayed.
Current Status: This will be fixed in the subsequent release.
• The following Cache related metrics are not displayed for selection in the Choose Metrics box
when you select the Cache node for an XP1024/128 Disk Array under Charts:
◦ Cache Usage MB
◦ Cache Usage Util
◦ Cache Write Pending MB
◦ Cache Side File Usage MB
◦ Cache Write Pending Util
◦ Cache Side File Usage Util
Workaround: View the Cache related metrics for an XP1024/128 Disk Array on the
Performance View and Summary View screens.
