IMPORTANT: You must install JRE before installing P9000 Performance Advisor host agents,
except on Windows and OpenVMS.

Enhancements
For outband configuration mode on P9500 arrays with firmware version 70-04-52 or later to
complete collection, you will have to upgrade to Performance Advisor v5.4.1.
P9000Watch enhancements
There are no new enhancements in this release.
Installing Performance Advisor
To upgrade to P9000 Performance Advisor v5.4.1, ensure that v5.4 P9000 Performance Advisor
is installed on the management station and the v5.4 host agents are installed on the respective
host agents. For information about the prerequisites and installation procedures for Performance
Advisor, see the HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software Installation Guide

IMPORTANT:
• Installing on a management station: Performance Advisor v5.4.1 patch can be installed on
PA v5.4 only. Since PA v5.4.1 is a patch version, a fresh installation is not supported.
• Installing on a host agent: Host Agent v5.4.1 patch can be freshly installed. Upgrade to HA
v5.4.1 is supported only on version v5.4. For host agents on Linux and OpenVMS operating
systems, upgrade to v5.4.1 is not supported. Uninstall the existing version of the PA to install
the v5.4.1 PA on the host agent.

IMPORTANT: HP Support Center provides support to the current and to the previous two major
releases of the software. If you have installed an older version of P9000 Performance Advisor,
then HP recommends that you upgrade it to a supported version, or to the latest version of the
product.
