HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software v5.4 Release Notes (T1789-96331, April 2012)

Fixes
P9000 Performance Advisor v5.4 includes the following fixes:
The Chart screen displays legends when saving the Favorite chart as Save as PDF .
CHP MP Utilization Charts does not display a blank chart for XP20K.
CLUI Alarmhist command displays the output and it does not display an error in the command
window.
RG Utilization chart works when you attempt to plot the chart for concatenated RG's under THP
Pool -> RG -> RG.
License tab works and does not display any error messages even if the license expires or is violated,
and the license capacity value is greater than 99TB.
Java null pointer errors are resolved and are not logged in the Event log when creating, modifying
or deleting the Alarms.
When you attempt to modify or delete the CHIP MP util metric alarms created in v5.0 to v5.3
versions of P9000 Performance Advisor, the committed change does not fail.
Array View screen displays correct internal raw disk capacity when configuration data is collected
through the Outband mode for a XP12000 disk array.
Cache Usage and Cache Write Pending metrics are displayed appropriately.
In P9000 Performance Advisor and P9000Watch, RG Utilization metrics are displayed appropri-
ately for P9500 array from 70-03-34-00/00 or later firmware.
The RG summary, Backend IO and Export DB screens display only RGs, as non-RGs, such as THPs,
SNAPs are removed from these screens.
THP related information which was displayed in the RG summary screen is now available only in
the LDEV screen.
Notes
P9000Watch and CLUI are not supported on an OpenVMS Integrity Server (IA-64) host.
Current Status: Fix is being investigated, no ETA as of P9000 Performance Advisor v5.4 release
date.
The Show the Windows Installer Log check box is non-functional.
Workaround: To view the PA_Install.log file, go to <system_drive>:\P9000_PA_In-
stall_Log path, where <system_drive> refers to the drive on which the operating system is in-
stalled.

The Journal Group Detail View screen does not display data when you click a journal group
volume ID that is created from concatenated RAID groups.
Workaround: In the Array View - LDEV screen, filter the existing list of LDEV records for a particular
journal pool ID to view LDEVs that belong to that particular journal pool. The LDEV related perform-
ance metrics are also displayed.
Current Status: This will be fixed in the subsequent release.
The following Cache related metrics are not displayed for selection in the Choose Metrics box
when you select the Cache node for an XP1024/128 Disk Array under Charts:
