• The P9000Watch Linux x86_64 binary is meant only for RHEL 6.1 x86_64. For all other Linux
x86_64 distributions, use P9000Watch Linux binary.

• If Apex controller is already installed, then stop the Apex controller service before installing or
upgrading P9000 Performance Advisor HA.

• P9000 Performance Advisor installation is not supported on domain controller in Windows Vista,
Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows 7 platforms.

• In P9000Watch, the CA Journal, CA Sync/Async Metrics are not available in CLI mode.

• You cannot plot multiple charts simultaneously at the Custom Group level charts. You must plot
one chart at a time.

• P9000Watch does not support THP Pool, Smart Pool, BC, Snapshots, and External RG’s.
Current Status: This will be fixed in the subsequent release.
• Custom report does not display CHIP chart details.
Workaround: Generate CHIP report separately. Do not include it with any other custom report.

• If Host is not displayed under Host information screen post Host agent Installation on SLES 11
SP1, refer HostDebugOut.log placed under /opt/xppa/hostagent/log.
If it displays the following error, install compat-32bit-XXX.rpm to resolve the third party software
issue:
Exception in thread "Thread-1" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /opt/xppa/hostagent/lib/lib-
BccaRaidMgrLibJNI.so: libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory

• When you create an alarm and attempt to set multiple destination email addresses for it, P9000
Performance Advisor Alarm screen displays an error message “Please Enter a valid Email address”.
Workaround: Create an alias email address, for example, [e-mail] and add the required
email address(s) such as [e-mail] and [e-mail] to this alias email address.
In P9000 Performance Advisor Alarm screen, you must specify the alias email address (xyz-
[e-mail]) in the Email Destination field. This sends the emails to the destination email
addresses ([e-mail] and [e-mail]), when an alarm is triggered.
NOTE:
The email address(s) included in an alias email address must belong to the same domain.
