HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software v5.4 Install Guide (T1789-96330, April 2012)

1. On your management station, go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer
Management > System Tools > Local Users and Groups > Groups.
The HP Storage Admin and HP Storage Users groups are located in the Groups folder on your
management station.
2. Right-click the HP Storage Admin or the HP Storage Users group, based on whether you want to
add admin users or only users.
3. Select the Add to Group option from the pop-up list to add local users, domain users, or a group.
Only users from these groups are provided the administrator and user privileges, and are authorized
to log on to P9000 Performance Advisor.
NOTE:
You cannot add other local groups that reside on your management station to the HP Storage Admin
or the HP Storage Users groups.
After the above-mentioned settings are configured, launch P9000 Performance Advisor. For more
information, see Launching P9000 Performance Advisor.
Launching P9000 Performance Advisor
IMPORTANT:
• Ensure that Adobe Flash Player and Flash Player Plugin, v10.0.0 or later are installed on the
system from where you want to access P9000 Performance Advisor, otherwise the following error
is displayed when you type http://<fully qualified domain name> or <IP ad-
dress>/pa in your IE browser window:
P9000 Performance Advisor requires Adobe Flash Player Version 10.0.0.
Download both Adobe Flash Player and Flash Player Plugin, v10.0.0 or later from the following
URL: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer.
You can also install Adobe Flash Player from the P9000 Performance Advisor installation disk 2.
• Before launching P9000 Performance Advisor, complete any pre-launch settings that you must
configure. For more information, see Configuring P9000 Performance Advisor related settings.
