Read through the instructions displayed on the Welcome installation window.
• To proceed with the installation, you must complete a set of installation prerequisites and tasks
provided in a checklist that appears when you click Launch Checklist. For more information,
see Launching the P9000 Performance Advisor checklist.
• Before you proceed with the upgrade, the installation wizard displays the following informa-
tional prompt:
The upgrade process may take time to complete (approximately 6 hours
for a 150 GB database)
Click Yes to continue with the upgrade. Click No to cancel the up-
grade.
If you click Yes to continue, you must complete a set of prerequisites and tasks that are provided
in a separate checklist. For more information, see “Launching the P9000 Performance Advisor
upgrade checklist” on page 113.
Launching the P9000 Performance Advisor checklist
To launch the installation or upgrade checklist, click Launch Checklist on the P9000 Performance
Advisor Welcome installation window, one of the following checklists appear:
• The installation checklist appears, if the installation wizard has not detected an existing version
of P9000 Performance Advisor on the management station. This checklist guides you through the
